Air Force Materiel Command (Robins AFB)


Candidates must possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements of the Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery & Rotary Division, Fixed Wing Branch Support Contract.  The purpose of this contract is to provide Structural Support and Engineering Services (SSES) to support WIUA fixed wing aircraft (AC-130, EC-130, HC-130, MC-130) in support of Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). The objective of is to establish, evaluate, study, and substantiate the structural integrity of the weapon system to maintain Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E).  This is accomplished through early identification of potential structural problems and the use of modeling, studies, and data management to ensure the orderly scheduling of inspections and replacement or modification of airframe critical elements. These evaluations may require extensive research and could lead to prototype development to include developmental drawings as well as installation of the prototype and testing. Also, this task will provide subject matter expert assistance and recommendations to technical problems encountered by the government engineers.


Bachelors degree

Masters degree preferred

Ph.D. desired

Must have security clearance level of Secret or higher.
