M&J Engineering is a leader in construction management and inspection, ITS, mechanical, electrical, wastewater, water supply, tunnel airport, port, marine/coastal, environmental engineering, and design-build services for both new infrastructure projects and renovations.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Coordinator with transportation industry experience. This position will support WMATA within the Washington, DC Metro area and is ideal for someone with previous or current WMATA experience or similar experience with a major transportation authority.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative and clerical support for a project office;

• Maintain contract records, plans and specifications, and related engineering and administrative records;

• Work under the direction of the Project Coordination team, who reviews work based on daily informal contact, reports, and conferences; and

• Work on multiple projects at same time.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in coordination of multiple tasks;
• Knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of WMATA’s rules, regulations, policies, and procedures;
• Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, arithmetic, and general office practices and procedures;
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in performing duties;
• Ability to work independently;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals with whom interface is required;
• Ability to maintain complex files and maintain files for multiple task orders; and
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

WMATA Experience Preferred.
 
Salary Range: $125,000-$137,000
