M&J Engineering, D.P.C. is hiring Lead and Water Inspector. This is an exciting opportunity to join our collaborative team of experienced engineers, architects, scientists and other professionals.

Summary/Objective

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead and Water Inspector to join our growing NYC team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the properties meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough lead and water quality  inspections in schools, and other buildings, and maintaining accurate records of findings. This position requires a strong understanding of quality management systems and relevant industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of NYC properties to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collect and analyze data related to product quality and performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain industry standards throughout the inspection process.
  • Collaborate with inspection teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with quality systems.
  • Maintain records of inspections, sample collection, and analysis results.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations pertaining to lead and water quality inspection and management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current state and/or federal inspection certification.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Water Quality Professional (CWQP)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in related field.
  • Proven experience in Lead Paint inspection using XRF testers.
  • Certified lead inspector by EPA
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to XRF lead-based paint testing.
  • Proficiency in using XRF testing gun
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting of findings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Client relationship skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Salary Range: $62,000 – $150,000 per year
