M&J Engineering is a leader in construction management and inspection, ITS, mechanical, electrical, wastewater, water supply, tunnel airport, port, marine/coastal, environmental engineering, and design-build services for both new infrastructure projects and renovations.

 

The Contract Administrator supports WMATA in managing the contractual aspects of various projects. This role focuses on overseeing change orders, resolving contractor claims, and ensuring contractual integrity throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project managers, legal, and procurement teams, the Contract Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, minimizing risk, and ensuring the timely and equitable resolution of contractual disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review change orders, REAs, and claims documentation.
  • Maintain change order logs and contract files.
  • Coordinate with contractors, legal counsel, and internal teams.
  • Support negotiations and resolution strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with WMATA procurement and legal standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or Law.
  • 7+ years of experience in contract administration or claims analysis.
  • Strong understanding of public sector contracting.
  • Excellent negotiation and documentation skills.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
