M&J is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, documenting deficiencies, and coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams to provide support in the area of mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Designs systems and components that meet the needs and requirements of the project. 
  • Designs and tests all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery. 
  • Produces outline designs.  
  • Identifies deficiencies in mechanical processes and develops improvements.  
  • Collaborates with project managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources.  
  • Works with a design team to create designs, sketches, layouts, and plans.  
  • Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.  
  • Builds models and prototypes and tests the design.  
  • Studies test data and make comparisons with similar designs.  
  • Methodically conducts experiments, analyzes the data, and interprets results.  
  • Tests and evaluates theoretical designs.  
  • Identifies, formulates, and produces effective solutions to emerging problems.  
  • Evaluates the overall performance, reliability, and safety of a final product.  
  • Alters and modifies the design to meet requirements and eliminate possible malfunctions 
  • Prepares reports and documentation.  
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner. 
  • Confirms system capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.  
  • Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.  
  • Maintains M&J reputation by complying with government regulations.  
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, renewing certifications, and reviewing professional publications.  
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.  

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.
